Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 in the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Columbia Rd. at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Canada & Pastor Heather Dodgen Romero officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery, Augusta.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday.
Mr. Dodgen was a native of Augusta. He was a retired dispatcher with Georgia Power. He was a gentle soul who loved his family and friends.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his daughter, Monica Dodgen Welch, his son, Luther Edward Dodgen Jr. (Desiree), his brother, George S. Dodgen Jr. (Melba), sister, Debbie Dodgen Stevens (John), his grandchildren, Lexi Dodgen McCorkle (Justin), Christopher Brantley Williams, Connor Edward Dodgen and Alayna Brielle Dodgen.
