He also founded the Self-Realization Fellowship, a worldwide organization. Mallicka was a devoted member of the Fellowship and was born in Calcutta.
A maternal figure to many, she left us this past Thursday to be with God. She had many roles in life: She was a child actress, a pre-school teacher, and a pastry chef. However, she is best known for being a mother and a grandmother. She will always be remembered as a source of wisdom, comfort, and grace. A pious Hindu woman, she devoted her time and all of her mind to religious ceremonies like Janmashtami, Durga, and Kali pujas for the Augusta community.
She is survived by her husband, Arun K. Dutta, daughter, Manisha Chatterjee, son-in-law, Saikat Chatterjee, grand-son Akash Chatterjee, and son Samiron Dutta. She is also remembered by siblings, nieces, and nephews.
