

In 1941, she met Robert Elwood Jones who was in basic pilot training in Augusta, Georgia. After a short courtship they were married in the Base Chapel in Shreveport, Louisiana, the day Bob graduated from flight school, January 2nd, 1942. After the war's end they settled in Short Hills, New Jersey, and lived there until 1960, when they moved to Denver, Colorado. In 1977 Mary Anne and Bob began wintering in Kapalua, Maui, and eventually built a home and lived there for 18 years. They enjoyed snorkeling, golfing and hiking in the mountains of Colorado and Maui. They always enjoyed traveling and visited over one hundred countries. In 1995 they moved to Brandon Wilde in Evans, Georgia.
Mary Anne was a devout Episcopalian and had been a member of St. John's Cathedral in Denver and the Church of the Holy Innocents in Lahaina, Maui. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Augusta Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years; sister, Ruth McCraney Wade; brothers, Walter Daniel McCraney and Jack Lockwood McCraney Sr., and nephew Arthur C. Wade. She is survived by nephew, Jack Lockwood McCraney, Jr.; niece, Eileen McCraney; sister-in-law, Margaret McCraney; three great nieces and her beloved cat, Josie. The family is deeply grateful for the many years of love and care given to Mrs. Jones by Fernander Emma Few, Stella Stewart, Mattie Fuller and Debra Green.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 13th, at Church of the Good Shepherd with The Reverend Robert Fain, The Reverend Dr. J. Andrew Menger and The Reverend Lynn Prather officiating. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall following the service.
