Mrs. Dorsett was born in October of 1923 to Pearl and Coy Wadsworth in Kansas City, Missouri. Her many years of rewarding employment began at Oliver General Hospital and retired from University Hospital and the Alzheimer’s Association. Mrs. Dorsett was a kind and loving Christian that loved to play the piano, write poetry and recite Bible scripture.
Survivors include her daughter, Colleen D. Brown; granddaughters, Amanda Bruner (Nick) and Lindsey Sikes; great-grandchildren, Mae Bruner and Jack Bruner; and nephews who loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dorsett is preceded in death by her son, H. Keith Dorsett; great-granddaughter, Evie Bruner; and her brother and sisters.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 21, 2019 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Columbia Road from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home at 3pm with Rev. Rick Busby officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
