Susan Bloomfield

Susan is survived by her Beloved Dr. William Mareska; her children, Deborah Heredia (David), John Bloomfield (Alice), and Mark Bloomfield; her daughter in love, Christine McDermott (Steve); her grandchildren, Beth Tedesco (Larry), Wesley Sang (Brian), Caroline Hamburg (Brendan), Leighton Smith (Adam), Brittain Bloomfield, Kelsey Bloomfield, Neilly Dennis (Frank), Everett Holloway, and Michael Heredia (Caitlin), her great-grandchildren; Alexandra Elizabeth Tedesco, Hannah Raine Tedesco, Lawrence Jackson Tedesco, Montgomery Cate Hamburg, William Adam Hamburg, John Wesley Harbour Sang, Clara Higgins Sang, Alexandra Olivia McNeill Dennis, Francis Spain Dennis (V), Graham Emerson Heredia, Hayden Bennett Heredia, Asher Young Smith, and her loving nephew Douglas C. Wattoff.

Susan is preceded in death by her husband Retired LTC John W. Bloomfield; her parents Paul and Clara Wattoff; her brothers George Wattoff and Robert Wattoff, and her sister Gloria Wattoff.

Susan was very active throughout her life in support of the arts. She was a long-standing member of Unitarian Church of Augusta, League of Women Voters of Augusta, and Arts in the Hearts Festival of Augusta. She was a former board member at the Gertrude Herbert Art Institute. Susan was an accomplished artist who studied at the Art Students League in New York City. She became well-known internationally as a fashion illustrator whose work was featured in Vogue, Simplicity, and McCall's dress patterns. In Augusta her work was published as full page ads for J.B. Whites, where she worked for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, companion and friend. She is gone but not forgotten, and her memory will truly be cherished by those who carry her in their hearts.

A celebration of life for Susan will be announced at a later date.
