Zack was a kind, loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was always available when anyone needed help. He was so proud of and loved all of his family but his absolute favorites were Ticklebug 1, Ticklebug 2 and WinkyDink.
Zack graduated from Butler High School and attended Augusta College. He entered the Air Force and served in Thailand during the Vietnam era as an instrumentation tech and shared many stories about working on B-52s. He spent the majority of his career working in local chemical plants and retired in 2006.
He enjoyed vacationing in the North Georgia Mountains every chance he got and he especially treasured the time he and his wife were able to spend at Amicalola Falls and the surrounding area.
Zack was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including golfing, fishing, sports, and walking. He also enjoyed his daily workouts at the gym. He took great pride in the meticulous care and maintenance of his lawn and garden. He loved and cared for his beloved pets Lady and Pepper (aka Diva).
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Robert “Bobby” Dobbs and sister, Vanessa Meeler.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Annice Meeler, his two daughters, Leslie Hayes and Dana Keel (Keith), his sisters, Carol Klein (Ted) and Linda Bame, his grandchildren Anna Klattig, Christopher Klattig (Jordan) and Catherine Smith and several nieces and nephews.
