Charlotte L Butts

Charlotte Lucille Butts, 81, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 28, 2011 in City Hospital, Martinsburg.

Born on October 20, 1929 in Jefferson County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Florence (Webster) Edwards.

She was a graduate of Kings Daughters Nursing School, and retired from the V.A. Medical Center after 35 years of service.

She was a member of N.A.R.F.E and various nursing associations.

Charlotte loved bowling, music, and helping others.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Butts, and two brothers, John W. Edwards and Willard E. Edwards.

She is survived by her niece Anne Kyker, and her husband Ronald, of Westminster, MD; her great-niece, Krista Kyker; her great-nephew, R.L. Kyker; and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her Godchild, Michelle Miller, a lifelong friend, Millie Severs; and her late husband’s family.

Friends will be received Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 1 PM until the time of service at 2 PM at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Rev. Richard Snyder will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
