Connie Watson

Connie is survived by her (5) children: Robert William Watson and his wife, Yvette, of Valdosta Georgia; Ronald Lee Watson and his wife, Kelly, of Martinsburg WV; and Thomas Edward Watson and his wife Cindy of Clifton Va. Two Daughters: Debra Sue Watson Lindsey, and her husband, Greg, of Sterling Va., and Sharon Leigh Watson Proctor of Chincoteague Va.; fifteen grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her only brother George M. Thore of Fairfax Va.

Connie was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Lee Watson which at the time of his death they had a loving and beautiful marriage of 57 years. Her parents George D Thore and her Mother Lola Mae Thore of Bluefield WV.

Connie worked over 30 years for Inova Hospital System where she shared time between Commonwealth, Fair Oaks, and Fairfax, as an administrative secretary. She prided herself on opening Fair Oaks and her commitment made the transition smooth and successful.

Connie’s passion in life was her commitment to her Family and friends; she put everyone first making sure they were happy and taken care of. She had a passion for cooking and good Bluegrass music; she loved dancing to songs of the 50’s lighting up the dance floor with Bob her husband at many venues. Her smile and laughter were extremely contagious and will be missed by many.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Colchester Free Will Baptist Church, 10405 Schaeffer Lane Nokesville, Virginia 20181 from 12:30 pm to the start of funeral service at 1:30 pm. Entombment will be on Wednesday June 3, 2026, at 11 am in Rosedale Cemetery, 917 Cemetery Road Martinsburg, West Virginia 25404.
