Gary L. Albright

Gary Lewis Albright, 82, of Hedgesville, passed away on February 18, 2025, at the Hospice facility in Kearneysville with his wife Bonnie by his side. Born on February 4, 1943, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Alfred L. and Elouise Albright.

Gary was a lifelong resident of Berkeley County and attended local schools in the area. He married the love of his life, Bonnie, in Winchester, Virginia, and they spent 62 wonderful years together. Gary was a devoted individual, that loved his family dearly. He was also and an avid Washington Commanders fan.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Albright; children: Tammy Maupin and husband Richard, Karen Walling and husband Jay, Penny Perez, Gary Albright II and wife Teresa; grandchildren: Shane Kyne, Heather Maupin, Dustin Minnick, Derek Sheppard, Aimee Albright, and Erica Albright; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Dennis Albright and wife Sharon, Richard Albright, and Linda Mendez and husband Ciro.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his grandson, David Sheppard II; and siblings: Donald Albright, Kenny Albright, Johnny Albright, Betty Peacher, Nancy Slevin, Beverly Stotler, Darlene Plott, and Debbie Johnson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 11 am. to the start of funeral services at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
