Isabelle Holben

Previously she was a resident of Stonerise / Clary Grove for approximately two years, sharing her room with her wonderful roommate, Frances Smallwood.

Isabelle was born on March 17, 1926 to John A. and Grace Light Palmer.

Isabelle was married to Earnest Howard Holben on May 26, 1946 until his passing on December 24, 1998.

Isabelle was a lifelong member of the Martinsburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, serving on various committees.

Isabelle and Earnest Sr. were proud parents and raised five sons and one daughter.

Earnest H. Jr. (Chris), Ronald L. (Peggy), Charles P. (Debra), Allen Leroy Sr. (Karen), John G. (Jill) and Marie Ann Rivers (Donald); 12 grandchildren: Sherry, Howard III, Renee, Matthew, Allen Leroy Jr. Brandon, Amanda, Kara, Brad, Dennis Barttes Jr, Patty and Donnie; 19 great-grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and her sister, Elizabeth Palmer Hess and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Isabelle is preceded in death by her husband and siblings Mildred Miller, Arlington and Staymon Palmer.

A Visitation will be held for Isabelle on Tuesday August 17, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Rosedale on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at 1 pm with Interment to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
