
James R. “Jamie” Rogers, II, 42, of Bunker Hill, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at home.
Born on June 14, 1969 in Martinsburg, he was the son of James R. Rogers and the late Ann L. (Welty) Penwell.
He attended the Martinsburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
In addition to his father, Jamie is survived by a son, Dustin Lee Rogers of VA, three step-daughters, Nicole “Nikki” Brennan, Tiffany Sanders, and Christina Sanders, all of Martinsburg; three grandchildren, Wesley and Kalei Brennan, and Cordell Sanders-Olinger; three sisters, Joy Kerns of Bunker Hill, Jennifer Rogers of Martinsburg, and Wendy Haacker of LA; two brothers, Jesse Rogers and Charles Penwell, both of Martinsburg.
He is also survived by his niece Ravyn Hammond, and nephews, Christopher and Samuel Kerns.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Larry Penwell.
Friends will be received Monday, October 3, 2011 from 1 PM until the time of service at 2 PM at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Pastor Tom Bogges will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Panhandle. BBBS is a non-profit agency that provides mentors to children in the eastern panhandle. All contributions support the local Big Brothers Big Sisters and will be used to provide activities and opportunities for children of the eastern panhandle.
