Kenneth Earl Robinson of Gerrardstown (formally of Bedington), passed away on December 5, 2018 at the age of 74. He was born in his family home on Berkeley Station Road on November 25th, 1944.
Kenny as many of his friends called him found that the Navy was the right choice for him. This allowed him the opportunities to see the world. The story was always told that upon returning from his time in the service. While visiting his parents at their new home in Bedington, he went next door and introduced himself to the young lady (Doris Jean Waters) on her parent’s front porch, little did he know that young lady would become his wife. Doris and Kenny had a short engagement and were married on April 1st, 1967.
Early in their marriage Kenny worked for Corning and the Quarry in Clearbrook, VA. Later he was hired at Dupont in Falling Waters where he would work to provide for his family for the next 32 years.
In the summer of 1972 they welcomed their first son, Matthew Kent Robinson (Christy Robinson) and in the fall of 1976 they welcomed their second son, Adam Brent Robinson (Teri Lyn Jackson-Robinson).
Kenny had three beautiful and special grandchildren Allison Robinson of Morgantown, Tyler Robinson at home, and Addison Robinson at home. He also had several nieces and nephews.
Sadly, Kenny was preceded in death by Doris Jean in March of 1996. Kenny was also the remaining member of his family including his parents Jack and Dorcas Robinson, two brothers James and John Robinson, and a sister Frances Quaglio.
To his buddies at McDonalds and his car show friends, thank you for all the years of friendship and laughs he truly treasured that time with you.
Our father was always willing to help the next person, during this holiday season do a good deed and pass it on.
The Robinsons family would like to thank everyone who touched our father’s life in anyway. He was one of a kind and will be truly missed.
A visitation will be held on Sunday December 9, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Monday December 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at Rosedale Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
