Born on January 1, 1942 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Frank and Maryland Barrett.
Ronald loved fishing, hunting and archery. Deer hunting and 3-D shoots were some of his favorites. He served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Morrison and her husband, John; grandson, Joseph Morrison and his wife, Ashley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years whom he missed dearly, Carolyn; son, Ronnie Barrett; and sister, Beverly Ruble.
Friends will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on February 28, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service at noon. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
