Born September 4, 1972 in Hedgesville, West Virginia, and was a lifelong resident. Shawn was a very good hearted person who was loved by many.
He was the son of the late Herman Sr. and Rosalie Pat Franklin. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Tiffany Franklin; brother, Herman Franklin Jr. and step-sister Liz Lease.
Shawn is survived by the mother of his children, Lesley Henry; son, Shawn D. Franklin; daughter, Brandy Franklin; granddaughter Mia Franklin; three sisters: Wanda Barrett, Kay Kees, and Carol Starliper; two half-brothers Donnie Lease and David Lease along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles .
A visitation will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on Friday October 14, 2016 from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home with interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
