Born September 13, 1938 in Prince William County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Louvenia Doris Cooper, Sr.
Thomas worked for Frederick County Public Works for 19 years.
He is survived by six children: Kevin (Dottie) of Martinsburg, James (Jennifer) of Boiling Springs Lake, North Carolina, Patti (Marissa) of Martinsburg, Tracy of Martinsburg, Lewellyn (James) of Alta Vista, West Virginia, and Ginny of Stephen City, Virginia; one brother, Frankie of Virginia; two sisters: Rosie of Winchester, Virginia, and Annie of Leesburg, Virginia; and five grandchildren: David of Winchester, Virginia, Kevin and Tyler of Martinsburg, and Amber and Adam of Boiling Springs Lake, North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Anna Cooper; and one son, Thomas Jefferson Riland Cooper, III.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
