
William H. Jenkins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2012, six days before his 73rd birthday, surrounded by his family. Born November 23, 1939 in Clarksburg, WV, he was the son of the late William and Eva Blanche Jenkins. He was the youngest of nine children, seven brothers preceded him in death. Also gone before him was his son Jeffrey Jenkins.
He was employed by I.T.S., Inc., but was a big rig owner/operator most of his adult life. He loved bluegrass music and could play many instruments by ear. He had a large collection of humorous T-Shirts that helped him explain his position on many views. Left behind to cherish those memories are his wife of 52 years, Patty Sue (Buck) Jenkins, daughters, Johnna Hurley, and her husband Mike, of Pickerington,OH, and Robin Butts, and her husband Tony, of Hedgesville; one son, Jamie Jenkins of Martinsburg; one sister, Ruby Hobbs of California; Eight grandchildren, Aaron, Amber, Nick, Ashley Renee, Ashley Nicole, Cody, Kelsey, and Brooke, and another arriving next March to be named Dexter William. He adored his five great-grandsons, and was loved by so many through marriage or acquaintance who called him their “Pepaw”. Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Rosedale Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
