

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother Blanche Rose (Davidson) Gay, age 105, of Marysville, WA, died peacefully on January 13th, 2016. Blanche was born on May 16th, 1910 in Paris, Illinois to Jesse (Berry) and Mark Davidson. She moved to Marysville, WA at age 2 with her mother and brother George (Harley) Davidson after her father’s untimely death. In Marysville, her mother married Ole Johnson and gave Blanche 6 more sisters and 2 more brothers. Blanche grew up in Marysville and married John Francisco and had two daughters, Carol and Sharon, and a son John (Jack). Later she would marry Clifford Gay, and add a step-son, Richard, to her family. Over the years Blanche moved from Marysville to Coos Bay, OR, to Enumclaw, WA, and eventually returned to Marysville. Blanche attended Beauty School in her late 50’s and opened her own salon in Enumclaw where she worked until she was in her 80’s. Blanche is survived by her sister Ila, her son Jack, and all of her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Cliff, all of her siblings except her sister Ila, and all of her children except her son Jack. The family would like to add a special thanks to the staff of Mountain View Rehabilitation and Care in Marysville for their loving care during Blanche’s stay there. In accordance with her wishes Blanche will be cremated and interred at the Marysville Cemetery. There will be a short graveside service on Thursday, 21 January 2016 at 12:00 o’clock.
