Estelle Kathleen Motsinger Wilson, beloved Mother, Special Aunt, and delightful daughter of Zion, left the arms of her three children to meet her Savior face to face, in the wee hours of the morning, on March 12th, 2016 from Garden Village, Yakima, Washington. Born to Charles Nathan Motsinger and Eva Grace ( Skelton) Motsinger on October 26, 1920 on the family farm in Salem, Indiana. She was 8 years old when she gave her heart to Jesus and spent the next 87 years telling everyone she met about His love and grace. She married Theodore Dale Wilson of Canton, In. on October 16, 1937. Her years in Indiana were spent as an accomplished home maker, raising three children, volunteering in The First Baptist Church of Salem In. as a teacher and loved to sing in the choir as she served the Lord.
Her skills as a seamstress were evident in the lovely clothes she made for her children and later, her grand children. Moving to Washington state in 1956, she and Dale settled in Marysville, where Dale built their family home, and helped purchase the property on which the Grace Baptist Church was built... Charter members of the church where she became a member of the sewing club; making many hand tied quilts for numerous people, including her children and grandchildren. A gardener, a canner, and a lover of flowers.. Her dahlia's were stunning. She loved sharing the work of her hands with many family and friends. Loved to read and write poetry, and woman of real values; she was a prayer warrior for sure, the depths of which we will not know this side of heaven.
Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva Motsinger, her husband, two brothers, Otto, and Paul Motsinger, and a sister, Gretna Motsinger Humphrey; She is survived by Carolyn (David) Fairchild of Tracy, California, Jerry and (Diann) Wilson of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Wanda(Gary) Johnson of Selah, Washington, Grandchildren Larry, Donna, Rob, Mike, Nancy, Steve and Brian. 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
It is with sincere hearts we thank the staff and administration of Garden Village, Yakima, Washington for their loving, compassionate, and professional care of our mother and of us, during her final days. A family service was held at Schaefer Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville, Washington, final resting place, Marysville Cemetery.
