

James (Jim) Lee Presto passed away last Friday, July 14, 2017 at Providence Medical Center in Everett. Jim was born September 21, 1940, in Modesto, California, to James and Mary Presto. He attended Walter White Elementary School and Ceres Unified High School. He played basketball, baseball and was instrumental in their football championship of 1958. There, he met and married his high school sweetheart, Ellie Jones (Knight.) They raised two children, moving to the Seattle area in 1968. Jim had been a resident of the Marysville area for the past 40 years, where he had owned J&J Drywall, a construction company. During this time, he met Shelley Durpos and raised two more children.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Tina Renee Vermeulen, her husband, Robert Vermeulen, and grandsons Sean and Kiefer Vermeulen. His son Scott Durpos, his wife Thoa Durpos and grandson Cory. His son James Leroy Presto, his wife, Janell Presto, grandsons Justin Presto and Brandon Presto, his wife Brianne Presto and great-grandsons Benjamin and Cameron Presto. His sister, Sharon Rose Presto, her daughter Lisa Christine Kelley and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim always had a smile on his face, always ready to lend a hand, and was loved by all who knew him. His passions in life were all sports, especially golfing, fishing, camping, but most of all, spending time with family and friends. Jim was 76 years young. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Graveside service will be held at Marysville Cemetery, Wednesday, July 19th at 12:00 noon.
