Karon Gay (Freeman) Eberhart passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 27, 2018, at her daughter's home in Marysville, Washington, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Karon was born on July 29, 1948, in Boise, Idaho and was the daughter of Wm. Frank and Elizabeth Freeman. She was raised in a large, loving family and graduated from Boise High School. She had two children, Scott jr. and Angelaun, and raised them in the Seattle area.
Karon had a magnetic personality, a contagious laugh, and a beautiful smile. She had a sweet spirit, sought the good in others, and was down to earth. Friendships came easily to her, and she valued each of them tremendously.
Over the years, she had a variety of occupations, including waitressing, hair styling, and in her later years, in-home caretaker. She was a people person who found great joy in helping others. She touched hearts, young and old everywhere whe went.
For fun she enjoyed playing bingo, Texas Hold 'Em Poker, and traveling. She loved spending time with friends and family, and held a special place in her heart for granddaughters, Emily and Maci. She got a kick out of finding treasures and "collectors items" at yard sales, antique shops, etc.
Karon was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth, infant twin sister, Sharon Kay, birth father Arthur King, and step mother Phyllis King. Survived by her father, Frank; son, Wm. Scott Eberhart; daughter, Angelaun Niethamer (Chad); granddaughters Emily and Maci Niethamer; sisters-Marie Leonard (Ritch Orcutt), Julie Woolum (Kevin), Sandra Rhodenbaugh (John), Shirley Martindale (Russ), Kathy Sue Freeman, and Debbie Freeman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. We will always miss her sparkling smile and happy face.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00am at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Avenue, Marysville, WA 98270. Lunch reception immediately following.
