Richard Edmond SCHLOSSER Sr.

Richard Edmond Schlosser Sr. of Tulalip, Washington went to join the love of his life Ida on June 14, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Chicago, Illinois on Oct. 10, 1935 to John and Matilda Schlosser.

Richard served in the Marine Corps from 1952 - 1953. While on leave in the area he met and married the love of his life Ida. They had four children, Rosie, Lila, Sonny and Cindy. Richard worked very hard all of his life to support his family. He worked for many years at Far Best Eggs before retiring. Richard was loved by many and the life of the party wherever he went. He loved to create happy and funny chaos no matter where he was! He had a very big heart. He and Ida opened their doors to many people who called them Mom and Dad. One of Richard's favorite things to do was go to Don's Restaurant to sing Karaoke and have a good time. It was there that he met many friends. He also loved to travel and spend lots of time with his family. Richard is preceded in death by his wife Ida; his parents John and Matilda Schlosser; his brothers, John, Rob, Jim; his grandchildren, Bayley Boston, Anne Marie Gonzales, Tiffany Rose Gonzales, and Athalia Hatch. He is survived by his four children, Rosemarie Alexander, Lila (Tom) Henderson, Richard Schlosser Jr. and Cynthia (Jim) Ham; his ten grandchildren, Zaneda (Wayne) Gonzales, Stephen (Gabrielle) Hatch, Beverly Hatch, Ezra Hatch, John (Salena) Schlosser, Jeffery Meyers, Ernie (Tiffany) Roberts, MIchelle (Thomas) Dickerson, Misty (Joshua) Henderson, and James (Kathy) Ham; along with 37 great grandkids; and numerous great-great-grandkids. A funeral will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Tulalip Gathering Hall with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.
