

He passed away peacefully at hone after a long battle with kidney cancer surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Ron grew up in Seattle and graduated from O’Dea High School. He then later joined the Air Force where he had a 22 year career. He served his country in Vietnam where he flew 142 combat support missions in Air Rescue. Ron received a Purple Heart and Airman’s medal for injuries received.
In his retirement he enjoyed building cabin on the Kettle River in Eastern Washington, which in his words was God’s country.
Ron loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors.
Ron was a loving husband to his wife and best friend for 54 years. He was a caring and nurturing Dad to his five children. His daughters; Julie and Tim Cort, Jane and Lyle Ekdahl. His sons; Michael and Julie Snook, Matthew and Susan Snook, Mark Snook and Desiree Ross.
Ron loved his Grandchildren very much; Kyle, Kris, Julian, Carl, Hannah, Alexis, Annabelle, Kaitlyn, Olivia, and Asher.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, children and grand children.
Ron is also survived by his sister Donna Updike, Gary and Sharon Snook, Dennis and Glenda Snook, and Robert Snook, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Thank you to the many doctors who assisted in Ron’s care, and a special thank you to his Hospice Team; Becki, Charlie, Mike and Sherrie.
Services will be held on Saturday September 29th at St. Mary Catholic Church. 4200 88th Street NE Marysville, WA.
Rosary will be held at 12:30 pm, a Mass and Memorial to follow at 1pm. A reception will follow.
Ron was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.
