

Sigmund David Stormo Sr., born and raised in Marysville on the old Stormo farm, passed away suddenly February 14, 2012, at the age of 73. The youngest of 13 children, Sig stayed in the Marysville area, graduating from Marysville High School. He grew up loving the outdoors, hunting, working with wood, working on cars, and pretty much helping anybody on anything they needed. He was the happiest when sharing his love and skills of the outdoors with his sons and extended family. Sig worked for Foss Tugs in various positions.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ruby; brother Emmet J. Stormo Sr. and wife Elreen, sisters Christine Lyons and husband Don and Deanna Kearns ; four sons, Sigmund Stormo Jr., Mike Stormo, Randy Stormo, and Kevin Stormo and wife Sherrie; daughter Robin Wohlfrom and husband Ron; 8 grandchildren Reilly, Tristin and wife Vanessa, Candice, Ashlee, River, Levi, Lexi,and Katherine and husband Charlie Goodwin; and great grandson Connor. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma Stormo; sisters Marie, Emma, Eline, Margaret, Inga, and Anna and brothers Leonard, Alfred, and Elias; and granddaughter Jessica.
Services will be held Saturday, February 18 at Weller Funeral Home, 327 North Macleod Ave, in Arlington at 2:00pm with viewing from 9:00 am to 2:00, followed by a reception at the Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Museum Hall at 20722 67th Ave NE, Arlington. Donations can be made at the Wells Fargo Bank under the name Sigmund Stormo.
