Here we are coming up to the darkest day of our family's life - your passing.  Todd - you ment so much to so many people.  As I sit here reading all the wonderful and kind words. Everyone spoke from their heart and it shows.

My dear brother - you are sorely missed.

Todd was a great coworker and an even greater friend. I will miss you brother.

We will miss you so much Todd.  Every time I think of you, I can't help but picture you bursting out laughing; you were always so cheerful and fun to be around.  Rest in peace Todd.

I don't have the words to express what a loss Todd is.  All I know is this world is a better place with people like Todd, but unfortunately there are precious few like him. To his family: all my blessing.
As I sit reflecting, I realize that so many of my funniest and happiest childhood memories inlvolve Good Ol' Burt in some capacity. So many hilarious moments, that would not have been without his humor and ability to make you laugh.
Thank you for making my life a little bit better.
Heaven also just got a little bit better.

The Burts sure miss you.  I will fondly remember the Burt vs. Enstad fishing derby when we did soundly defeat the Enstad boys.  You knew which end of the flasher pointed toward the bait.  Thanks for all the good times ol' buddy.  I remember how we celebrated Grandpa's life.  Now you're fishing with him.  We both called in sick to fish for his memory.  I'll think of you every time I cast a fly.

I have a fond memory of Todd. Todd and I dated for a bit about ten years ago. We met by way of a mutual friend, Mary. So, one night Mary invites Todd and I over for a dinner party and Todd offers to bring the main course, salmon (of which he shared an entire freezer of with his roomate OClaire). Todd says, "Oh, Holl, I've got this great BBQ recipe to go on top for the salmon" and I said, "oh...that sounds nice, but why don't we just use my Mom's secret garlic butter." And I just kept asking him, "who puts BBQ sauce on salmon? I have never heard of that." So Todd suggests that we have a salmon bake-off. He brought a salmon with his BBQ sauce and I brought a salmon with the secret garlic sauce. Guess who's salmon was completely gone by the end of dinner? Todd's. 

In the short time I new Todd I learned we shared a passion for fishing, we both grew up learning to fish on Point No Point. Todd was a true gentleman and a very loyal friend, with a huge heart, and it saddens me that it failed him. Todd always made me laugh. 

I hope the fishing is good in heaven, Todd.  : )

I was deeply saddened to learn of Todd’s passing.  My heart aches for the Burt family.  Todd’s infectious laugh and sense of humor brought joy to so many.  Todd will be greatly missed.

A comedian could only hope to have been able to make people laugh and smile as did my dearest friend Todd Franklin Burt.  Life was just more fun with you around.  Your smile, your laugh, somehow everything was just a little more fun, chaotic, and unpredictable with Good Ol’ Buddy Burt.  

Over the years our activities seemed to evolve from girls to fishing, mostly practicing catch and release with both.  You were becoming such a good steelhead fly fisherman.  The way you embraced the sport with such passion and enthusiasm was infectious.  And yes, you still cast better than me. 

I’m a little lost right now, not even a fishing trip sounds any good without you.  I’m trying to cope by re-living a lifetime of memories and adventures with you that make me both laugh and want to cry.  I wish you could have heard Curt and I butchering your favorite Alice In Chains song.  That was all Curt’s idea by the way, you would have loved it. 

I miss my best friend, I miss my fishing buddy, I miss “Burt”.  But you already know that.  Luckily we took advantage of many opportunities to share how we felt over the years, and I’m so very thankful that we did.

God Bless Todd's family and friends during this difficult time. I hope you find peace in that his last day was enjoying his passion of life-fishing.  I went to school with Todd at MP and did not have a close relationship with him but knew him to be a kind person with a contagious smile! Rest in Peace Todd, God Bless.

No words can describe the void and the sadness.

With tears in my eyes, I remember my friend Todd...the times at the creek, the laughter, the work and the fun.  I am so blessed to have had Todd in my life.  Thank you, Kathy and Frank for raising such a wonderful young man.  Todd, I love and miss you.  And to eveyone else, I love you too.

So sad when I heard about your passing Todd, u were always a great guy with a kind word. You will be missed by all who knew & love you.

Todd will be missed terribly by those who were close to him. As a long time friend and fishing companion I will miss those days wading into his favorite waters. Todd’s passion for life was genuine and contagious, truly a great man. No words can express how much you will be missed, may you continue to wade those waters.

My husband, Alexis, worked with Todd at Secure in Raleigh.  Todd was such a friendly guy!  My husband loved working with him.  Todd unselfishly helped us out when our family had a great need several years ago and, though we have lost touch, we have never forgotten his kindness!  We are sad and shocked at his early passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family!

Kim and I want to share our condolences with the Burt family, Todd was a great coworker, friend and person. We shared some good times fishing (including spending 4 hours trying to pull his boat up a 15' wall of mud), golfing, rooming together at work functions and just talking between ourselves in the office.

My sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Todd. Its real amazing how small the world is. My daughter, Rylee, now dates Alek and to my surprise that was his Uncle. I remember Todd from school as being a fun,good looking guy and was always up to something with those crazy friends of his, Rob, Curt and a few others. Keep all the good memories in your heart.

Played baseball with Todd growing up,went to MP together and after school we worked at E&E together. We had some fun times and made some great memories over those years,Todd was always a fun and loving person and even though we have not crossed paths much in the last 10 or 15 years, it doesnt seem like it. Knowing he is gone is tuff, May God bless his family.

I was so sad to hear of Todd's passing this morning.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time.  I knew Todd back in high school through my dear friend Brent Herrly and can remember him being the most gracious and kindest person.  His smile is what I remember most.  He will be greatly missed..... that I am certain of.
