Victoria Lynn Reitz passed away on February 4, 2022 at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington. She was born August 14, 1957, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Edward “Jake” and Mary Coover. She married her best friend and the love of her life, Michael Reitz on November 7, 1975. They raised two beautiful daughters together, Amanda (Titus) and Brooke (Polehonka). Vickie and Mike relocated to Cheyenne Wyoming in 1986 where they owned Reitz Wholesale Optical until selling and Vickie was able to follow her dream of going to nursing school.
Vickie graduated with honors in Nursing on July 5, 1993. She was a loving and devoted nephrology nurse for 28 years. She was very passionate about her patients and helped save many lives over the course of her career.
Vickie and Mike moved to Washington State in 1999 to be close to their daughters who had both relocated. It was there that Vickie gained her most treasured title of “Nana” which is what her three incredible grandchildren lovingly call her. She loved her husband and daughters fiercely but nothing compared to the love she had for her grandsons Evan and Jordan (Polehonka) and granddaughter Briannica (Titus).
Vickie loved to read, her nose was often found in her Nook. She also loved cheering on her grandkids at ball games or whatever extra-curricular events they had going on. She was happiest surrounded by family, that was her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Reitz; daughter Amanda (Michael) Titus; daughter Brooke (Brian) Polehonka; grandchildren, Evan Polehonka, Briannica Titus and Jordan Polehonka; brother, James Coover.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Coover and her father, Edward “Jake” Coover.
Our hearts still ache with sadness, and many tears still flow. What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain. To walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again.
