Josephine Ragone

Josephine Ragone, a beloved matriarch, passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on July 26, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, she grew up in a large, loving family that shaped her deep devotion to her own. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, Vincent, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, dance, and adventure.

Family was the heart of Josephine’s life. A true matriarch, she was a loving mother to her sons, John and Ken, and a cherished grandmother to Jonathan, Jennifer, Danielle, and Anthony. She adored her great-grandchildren—Vincent, Lucy, Caine, Isabella, and Rye—showering them with the same warmth she gave to all. Known for her exceptional culinary skills, Josephine’s kitchen was a place of comfort and generosity, as she loved to help anyone in need.

Josephine and Vincent’s love story was one for the ages. They delighted in dancing together and, after moving to Florida, traveled tirelessly to attend every family event—birthdays, weddings, and more—driving up to be with their loved ones. Her faith was a guiding light, and she lived it with unwavering devotion.

Josephine will be deeply missed by all who knew her caring spirit. A visitation for Josephine will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720. An interment will occur Monday, March 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
