

Melissa T. Graf, born on July 23, 1979, and passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 46. A cherished resident of Farmingdale, New York, she leaves behind a legacy of love and artistry, forever inspiring and beloved.
Melissa was a loving mother to Nicholas, Jayson, Gianna, and Anthony. She was a treasured daughter to Susan, and alongside the memory of her late father Michael. As a sister, she was deeply loved by Alison, John, and joins her late sister Jennifer. Affectionately known as \"aunt\" to Josalyn, Isabella, Jennifer, and Kyla, her family was the center of her universe.
An artist at heart, Melissa was fondly called "The Hippie Chick," finding peace and creativity in nature's embrace. Her days were filled with sketching and crafting, and she found delight in Alice in Wonderland—both in film and through the pages of the beloved novel. Ever the child at heart, she relished in playing make-believe with her children, her animations and humor breathing life into every moment.
Melissa's love for music intertwined of The Doors and The Beatles, creating the soundtrack to her thoughtful, artistic life. Among the field's cheer of baseball, her voice would rise in excitement for the Yankees, a fan unwavering and true. Despite all pursuits, she held no greater achievement than that of being a mother to her children and an aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Melissa's family expresses their gratitude for the outpouring of sympathy and compassion shown by all who were touched by her life. As said so wisely by Jim Morrison, "The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are." Melissa’s legacy will echo through those she inspired and adored long after her passing; she is deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, New York, on January 21, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Melissa's life will be honored with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, 855 Carmans Rd, Massapequa Park, NY, on January 22, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY, from 11:00 am to 11:40 am.
