

Richard Wayne Hale, 54, of Maysville, Kentucky died Monday, October 21, 2013. He was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the DeKalb Lodge. Richard was employed by the Crounse Corporation for fifteen years. He was an avid fan of UK basketball, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. Richard battled cancer for a short time, but was an inspiration to others with whom he came into contact. He was a very devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and son-in-law. He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on July 26, 1959 the son of David Wayne and June Flanery Hale of Maysville, KY. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Griffith Hale, two daughters, Kasey Elizabeth Collins (Ryan) of Maysville, KY and Kristen Nicole Hale of Olive Hill, KY; two grandchildren, Easton Price and Paige Collins; one sister, Elizabeth Frederick (Mike) of Maysville; his niece, Michelle Frederick; In-laws, Hobert and Betty Griffith. Funeral services for Richard W. Hale will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013 with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM.
