Ben Lewis Richards, age 78, of Hampton, GA passed away April 13, 2016. Mr. Richards was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Mary Voyles Richards and Roosevelt Richards. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, church, fishing, bowling, horseshoes and softball. He served his country in the US Army for four years. He and his wife attended New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Lou Ellen Richards of Hampton; children, Bobbie Norman (Joe) of Hampton, Jason Richards (Amy) of Jefferson, Benjamin Richards Jr., of Hampton, Jessie Richards (Amanda) of Nebraska and 9 loving grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 16, 2016 beginning 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
