Benjamin Forest Rutledge

Predeceased in death by his sister, Dawn Rebecca Straw, and is survived by his two brothers, David P. White and Robert "Pat" Rutledge, along with many friends, nieces and nephews. He was close in life with his nephew, Nicholas Wallace (Rebekah).

After graduating from Russell High School in East Point, GA, Ben joined the Coast Guard in 1981. Later in life, during his time with maintenance operations of trains at the Atlanta airport, he further developed his love of machinery. He had several brief entrepreneurial careers, and received his Bachelor's Degree at Clayton State College in 1993. He had a long-running career as a Medical Equipment Technician, ensuring safe dialysis for customers across the metro Atlanta region and beyond. His work was a true labor of love. Ben's easygoing manner would always emerge after any mention of his favorite topics — friends, family, and trucks. Assistance to the family has been provided by Hasten Funerals &Cremations, and a remembrance to honor his life will be held at a future date.
