Carl Big Dan Dan Dill

Mr. Carl Danny Dill, age 78, of Hampton, GA passed away August 7, 2015. Mr. Dill was born in Gastonia, NC the son of the late Louise Hawkins Dill and George Thomas Dill. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, George Jr. and Jimmy Dill. Mr. Dill served his country in the US Army and retired from the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the mountains, camping, and just riding around site seeing. Mr. Dill was known for his outgoing personality and for never meeting a stranger. Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Ann Dill of Hampton; children, Cindy Hearn (Charlie) of Hampton, Linda Dodgen (Bill) of Hampton, Danny Dill Jr. (Tammy) of Hampton, Michael Dill (Marie) of Naples, FL, and Jennifer Coddington (Kurt) of Ola; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Dill (Shirley) of Fleming Island, FL; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Craig McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in the Berea Cemetery in Hampton.
