

Darwyn was raised in Centre, Alabama with his brothers and sister and served in the U.S. Air Force. During that time, he was stationed in Iceland for a period. He had several jobs after the Air Force, including being a milk man and a jack-of-all-trades, before his career with the FAA. He retired from the FAA and then worked as a contractor for Raytheon where he traveled for several years overseeing ongoing projects.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Mary “Ann” Bolton, brother Mack Bolton, brother L.J. Bolton, sister Mary Bolton Beam and brother Basil Bolton all from Alabama.
He is survived by his brother Gary Bolton, Hokes Bluff, Alabama and Sons Michael Bolton, McDonough, Georgia and Mark Bolton (Rebecca) of Ranger, Georgia. Darwyn's memory also lives on through his four grandchildren, Brittany Bolton Wilson (Jim), Chelsey Bolton Foster (Keifer), Gordon Bolton, and Olivia Bolton as well as his four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Darwyn was a member of Hampton United Methodist Church. He was a Christian man who was always happy to help folks anytime.
Darwyn was a family man and had an awesome sense of humor. He loved to tell his life stories and enjoyed talking about them with just about anyone. He was a prankster and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed working in his yard and was very meticulous about how it looked. He was very proud of his two sons and was always grateful for his wife Ann.
He was an avid ALABAMA FOOTBALL FAN….ROLL TIDE!
