It is with profound sadness that I share with you my husband, Don R. Williams, passed away on January 14, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Don was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 26, 1948. He was the son of Robert and Eva Williams. He moved to Wilmington, Delaware in the early 70’s and eventually moved to Georgia in 2009. His career spanned over many years at DuPont and AstraZeneca where it abruptly ended due to a massive stroke in 2008. Don coached youth football for 33+ years for the A.I. Wildcats and St. Mary Magdalen Bulldogs. He was an avid sports fan all of his life, specifically rooting f0r the Philadelphia Eagles and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Donnie loved music, cooking, gardening, and traveling (especially to beaches). He will be sorely missed by his wife of 46 years Annette, his daughter Tammy (Trish), and his son Marcus (Jennifer), grandkids – Deacon, Breelynn, Landon, grandchildren of his deceased son Roan - Blaine, Bryce, and Brooke, brothers Doug Williams (Sue), Bobby Williams, and sister Debbie Felton, brother-in-law Jimmy Crites (Yvonne), Aunt Anne Judge and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and former players. There will be a celebration of Don’s life on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 1:00 - 4:30 pm at Harry’s Savoy Grill at 2020 Naamans Rd. Wilmington, Delaware 19810. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff from Sacred Journey Hospice McDonough, GA for their tender loving care and never-ending support for Don. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to a charity of your choice in memory of Don. God’s Peace and love to all.
