Earnest Wayne Berry

Earnest Wayne Berry, age 75, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. On the day that Wayne's brother Bill witnessed to him, and he prayed the prayer of salvation, it was known that one day Wayne would be greeted at Heaven's gate by his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Joining in that welcome party were Wayne's mother Bertie, stepfather Willie Jones and his brother James Gray "Rocky" Jones.

Wayne was very much a people person who brought his special light and unique perspective to all those around him. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers, country and Gospel music, dancing like no one else and making model cars. Wayne was a fan of professional wrestling with Goldberg being his favorite.

Wayne, sometimes called "Red" due to his thick red hair, always enjoyed the activities with his friends and fellow residents of Westbury Nursing Home in Jackson, Ga., especially Bingo and the goodies and drinks they all shared.

Wayne's life will be remembered and celebrated by his surviving siblings Bill (Sheila) Jones, Jack Paul Jones, Jerry Anthony Jones, Dwight Steve (Theresa) Jones, John Allen (Angie) Jones, Mary Alice Jones Little and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and his Westbury girlfriend.

Wayne's family will receive friends and share memories on Thursday July 21, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Ga with a Celebration of Life to follow in the funeral home chapel. Wayne will be laid to rest among family at Eastview Cemetery in Conyers, Ga.
