Earnestine Nellie Dendy, age 74, of Hampton, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Charlie Sykes and Nellie Sykes McVey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son Scott Acra and two brothers Charles and Wesley Sykes.
She is survived by her husband Vernon Dendy; sisters Lois Poole and Charline (Tommy) Mathis; grandchildren Hunter and Mya Acra; as well as many nieces, nephews, and beloved family members.
Earnestine loved gardening, as long as it wasn't vegetables. She often created floral arrangements and enjoyed admiring flowers. She also loved a good ghost story, an avid reader of Steven King and Anne Rice. If she wasn't caught up in her flowers or reading a good book she was doting and loving on her dogs.
