He was preceded in death by his late wife of 50 years, Robin Hartshorn. He is survived by his daughters, Celeste Woodson (Matt) of LaGrange, GA and Nikki Jenkins (Kevin) of Locust Grove, GA, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Garet was a retired engineer for Ford Motor Company. He loved Falcons football, bowling, reading his Bible and listening to Celtic music.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Haisten Funeral Home located at 1745 S Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253. In honor of Garet, please wear your favorite Falcon's apparel.
