Mr. Herbert Franklin Parker, age 69, of McDonough, GA passed away January 27, 2016. Mr. Parker was born in Wilmington, NC the son of the late Bernice Ganey Parker and Rendell Gilmore Parker Sr. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, auto racing, building race cars and mud trucks, camping and fishing with friends. Mr. Parker was very close to his dog “Henry”. Survivors are his loving wife of 40 years, Norma Jean Lamb Parker of McDonough; children, Sherry Maynard (Randal) of Panama City Beach, FL, Randy Henson (Sandy) of Poplarville, MS, Rusty Henson of Jefferson, GA and Greg Henson of Griffin; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Rendell Parker Jr., (Kathy) and Jerry D. Parker (Ellen) both of Wilmington, NC; cousin, Jimmy Lem (Joan) of Fayetteville, GA; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Parker will be on Saturday, January 30, 2016 – 5:00 PM in the chapel with Randy Henson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 – 5:00 PM prior to the service.
