Jack Lee Leatherwood, age 60, of Locust Grove, GA passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025 in his home. He was born on May 29, 1964 in East Point, GA. He was employed by Henry County Board of Commissioners for over 20 years as a land-surveyor. His hobbies and interests include music, gardening, traveling, drives without known destinations, board games, puzzles, bird-watching, classic tv shows, ping-pong, badminton, softball, spending time with his loved ones and caring for his beloved chihuahuas. Jack is survived by his daughter Allison Leatherwood (David Rochester), grandsons Maddox & Hudson Rochester of Jackson, GA; significant other of 17 years Amber Vannavong and her children Keary and Kylie Vannavong of McDonough, GA; his brother Phillip Leatherwood and father Jack Leatherwood of Kannapolis, NC; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by mother Beverly Umphress Ozburn. Jack was a gentle, sentimental soul who was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
