

James Larry Hall, 84, of McDonough passed to his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was born in Alma, Georgia to the late Claude E. Hall and Audrey Stewart Hall. Larry's Heavenly welcome party also included his beloved daughter, Veronica Lanette Hall.
Larry graduated from Fulton High School in 1959. After that, he attended and graduated with honors from the Mercer University Southern College of Pharmacy in 1963. His career as a pharmacist spanned more than five decades of dedicated service to the metro Atlanta community.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his trumpet in multiple local bands from the 1970’s through the 2000’s, including the Forest Park Bicentennial Band, the Clayton Community Band, and the Southern Aires Big Band.
He was a gifted storyteller and could make anyone laugh. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always ready with a joke or punchline.
Larry cherished family, friends, and fun. Larry married his bride Lynda Dianne Hall on August 30, 1963. He was a dedicated husband and beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Dianne, Larry is survived by his children, Ric (Tina) Hall; Scott (Tabitha) Hall, Monique (David) Dreger, and Meredith Hall; grandchildren, Trey, Zackery (Shannon), Joshua, James and Anna; great grandchildren, Oliver, Charlotte and Elaina.
A visitation for Larry will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. Entombment will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, GA 30252.
