James Zachary Henry III

It is with great sadness that we inform friends of the family that James Zachary Henry III, Husband to Elise Burgess Henry of 46 years and 49 years together, father to Andrea Henry (Keith), James Zach Henry IV (deceased) and Jennifer Chenault (Dustin) has passed on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. James was also a Pawpaw to Brittany (Zach), Haley (Yuri), Landon, Raegan, Elijah and Matthew. Great Grandfather (Pawpaw) to Kylah, River and Kouvr.

His easy demeanor and bright smile will be greatly missed and always fondly recalled. James was a quiet man, but we knew he always had a deep and abiding love for family, friends, Georgia Bulldogs, and life. He and Elise along with their family would attend Harvest Point for many years and there they enjoyed their faith growing and providing solace and comfort through all of life’s challenges.

James’ courageous battle with cancer has sadly ended and now has left a hole in our lives that only his presence could ever fill. There is no deeper loss than that of a Husband, Father, Son to James Zachary II and Saralyn Henry, and his siblings Kay Edmonson (Doug), Ronny Henry (Sherry) and Mary Brown (Doug). We will need the support, love and prayers from others during this time and ask that those same prayers are needed by his extended family as well.

James’ celebration of life will be at 1:00pm at Harvest Point Church 911 Simpson Mill Rd, Locust Grove, GA. Friends and Family visitation will start at 12:30pm.
