James Bradford Rowland "Brad", age 59, of McDonough, GA passed away February 3, 2019 from complications of Alzheimers. Brad was born in Atlanta and lived in Henry County all of his life. He was a member of Timberridge Presbyterian Church.
He graduated from McDonough Christian Academy Class of 1977, where he played all sports in high school and after high school umpired for the recreation department. Brad enjoyed playing golf and his weekend golf trips with his friends. He and Robin owned a cabin in Pigeon Forge which became his favorite place to go with his family.
Brad worked for Henry County Water Authority for 16 plus years, and worked part time for Haisten Funeral Home for 20 plus years. He owned and operated Rowland Memorials and B & G Backflow.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Robin Price Rowland; daughters and sons-in-law, Mallory and Scott Mayo and Mollie and Brandon Maddox; and his pride and joy were his grandchildren, Rowland, Emerson, Truitt, and Mercer. He is also survived by his mother, Benida Helms; sisters, Ginger Moss and Pam Spahos; brother, Greg Rowland; nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and many cousins that loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Rowland.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Timberridge Presbyterian Church with his cousin, Rev. Julie Fuller officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Eastlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
