Jimmie Clyde Blair

Jimmie Clyde Blair, age 76 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed peacefully Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Sacred Journey Hospice, McDonough, GA. He was born February 20, 1939, a son of the late Ruel E. and Esther Steinman Blair of St. Clairsville, OH. Jimmie was a retired United States Army Vietnam War Veteran and Marksman Rifle recipient; former business owner of N & J Diesel; a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Harriet Lorraine Blair, a brother, Robert and sisters, Carol, Evelyn, Catherine and Marcie. Jimmie is survived by his children, Cindy Lorraine Shafer and Jimmie Clyde Blair; grandchildren, Amanda Halley Shafer, Emily Grace Blair and Garrison Blair Shafer; brothers, William, Raymond, Ben, Don, Gene, Ralph and John; sisters, Edna, Judith, Annette and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 4:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with full military honors. Rev. Jack Pickel will officiate.
