Mr. Joseph Alfonso Armenta, Sr., 77 of McDonough passed away August 22, 2020. He was born on March 14, 1943 in Monte Vista, CA to Alfonso and Amelia Armenta. Joe was a proud US Navy veteran and retired in 1992 after 42 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, cars, crocheting lap blankets and German Shepherds. Joe liked to collect stamps, coins, wolfs and eagles and his was a proud Native American. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha Armenta, children, Theresa (Jesse) Jinkins of Locust Grove and Joe (Teri) Armenta, Jr., of McDonough. Four grandchildren, Cleo, Alexa, Kaitlyn and Joseph Armenta, III. Joe was preceded in death by his son, Herman Armenta, thirteen siblings and his parents.
