

Kenneth James Castille, age 76, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. His smile was that of the Cheshire cat grin. He was born on August 9, 1948 in New Iberia, LA to the late George and Amelia Castille. He was also preceded in death by his son Jimmy. Ken graduated from New Iberia High School in 1966 and was a proud US Navy veteran. He was in the Boy Scouts, obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and became a Troop Leader. Ken attended Clayton State University in 1989 and received certificates in Electronic Technology. He was a Systems Security Analyst employed with AT&T for 42 years. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed bowling, computers, cruising and sailing. He was a member of the Catholic Church and an avid Bowler but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and had unlimited patience. Mr. Castille is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Castille, children, Ronald (Shannon) Castille of Loris, SC, Bryan (Cathy Dee) Castille of Hopkinsville, KY, Bradley (Gretchen) Castille of Oxford, GA, Robert (Tiffany) Castille of Duson, LA, Lynnette (Richard) Boyanton of Kountze, TX and Jason Castille of Locust Grove, GA, fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, eight siblings, Guy Castille, George (Cathy) Castille, Gary (Catherine) Castille, Kathyleen Romero, Wayne Castille, Linda Maynard, John Castille and Vincent (Nancy) Castille. The family will receive visitors for Mr. Castille on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1303 St Jude Avenue, New Iberia, LA 70560. There will also be a viewing at David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St., New Iberia, LA 70563 on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 5:00pm-10:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm. Burial to follow at Beaupre' located at 7605 E. Old Spanish Trail, Jeanerette, LA 70544. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Emory Winship Cancer Institute.
