I love you papam and I will miss you always! I remember when you would let me and Courtney watch tv with you and when you would make us coffee and bread in the mornings. You were the funniest man I knew and now you can light up heaven with your humor. I love you!

I made acquaintance with pappy Jeune in my home town Church, in Brooklyn NY.  Whenever I greeted him after the Church service, he usually said "my daughter how are you doing ", with a warm smile on his handsome face. I became a member of the Jeune's family, and I got married to his eldest son. I have been blessed to have pappy Jeune as my father in law. I will never forget him, and he will always remain in my heart. 

Many people haven’t had the pleasure of knowing their grandparents but that wasn’t my experience. I love that we were able to have that time together. He was able to see me grow up, get married and meet and love my children. We love you and will miss your happy spirit. 

I love you Papam and I miss you! You’re the best grandpa. 

My father was a hard working man. He showed me how important it was to be a great provider. He was a God fearing man and loved my mom and his children. He came to the United States where we lived in an apartment with six kids in New York then being able to purchase a home in New York.  He was hilarious and always thought everyone was a good person even if the person was a little sketchy lol. I was so happy that I went to thanksgiving last year and got to take care of him and see him one last time.  When I was helping him clean up he told me how he was so happy to have such good kids that take care of him. He also said he remembered my moms. Now he has joined his love once again. I love you and will  miss you Papam! 

My greatest memory of my dad was the ability to make me laugh, no matter what mood I  would be in. I love how patient he was and how grateful he was  for anything you gave him or did for him.  My dad, AKA "Big PaPa" was the best father anyone can ask for.  He always made sure his family cared for.  No matter how  sad I  get, that he is no longer with me, I am Soooooo... thankful to have many  happy memories  of him. 

Words can’t express how much I’m going to miss my grandpa. I’m going to miss fighting with him, bringing him food and snacks, and him sending me to jail! ❤️

My dad was a New York City cab driver so to say that he knew the city is an understatement. When I was in high school, he would drop me off every morning with an egg sandwich for breakfast that he would wake up and make, one for me and one for him. He would eat his in the cab while I sat silently in the sit next to him and I would save mine for when I get to school as I wait for class to start. My best memory of dad was when we were walking, going to where, I can’t even recall but he was in front of me, taking long strides. I must have been, I don’t know, 13 or 14. I was trying very hard to keep up with him. Every now and then, he would look back to make sure that I was right behind him and if I were lagging behind, he would slow down a bit and let me catch up. Whatever you would do for dad, it doesn’t matter how small, he would thank you. Even when you pricked his finger to check his blood sugar, he would thank you. He was a kind and jovial soul. We will all miss him very much.

My memories about Frere Jeune as we used to call him in the younger days are too many to list. However, I will try to recall just a few: God fearing, Highly sociable, generous, protective ,welcoming anyone into his circle with a positive, pleasant, inviting smile. Exactly 40 years and 3 months when he and his wife welcomed me to his home and his family when I first came to this country as a college student. Yes, I am the adopted child, WOW , what a wonderful Soul! I  am supergrateful to the Jeune family , Papa and Mama for leading my way in this great country.
To my siblings: Mama(Lele), Simone, Sam, Miriam, Daniel, Fifie, Vivian and others; Thank you "A life well lived ,I will always hold him close to my heart as my big Papa" 
May God receive Mom and Pap in his kingdom.
