Louise B. Johnson

Louise B. Johnson passed away on Saturday December 19, 2020. She was born in Guntersville, Alabama in March of 1928 to Ernest and Lily Bunch. Louise, along with her 8 siblings would experience some of the greatest moments in our history. Through it all family was most important. In 1946, at the age of 18, she married Charles "Buck" Johnson. A marriage that would last for the next 74 years and grow into a family with 6 children of her own. Throughout the years, Louise enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing. She even worked for a time as a seamstress making dresses. Left to remember, share and carry on her legacy are her beloved husband Charles "Buck" Johnson, son Charles (Mona) Johnson, daughters; Connie (Fred) Coupal, Cathy (Mike) Grizzard, Shelia Poteete, Patty (Patrick) Duggan and Sharon Ritter. Many loving memories also live on in her 15 grandchildren; Chris Hightower, Carla Johnson, Christi Taylor, Jennifer Cowart, Michael Poteete, Nikki Smith, Gregory Topolski, Patrick Topolski, Michael Duggan, Jody Wallace, Rebecca Layman, Trista Ritter, Traci Sargent, Duane Ritter and Derek Ritter as well as 31 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 26, 2020 at Tara Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia at 12 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior with interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tara Baptist Church in Mrs. Johnson's name.
