Nancy Chumbley Hollingsworth

Born on August 23, 1939, to the late Clara and Jake Chumbley, Nancy was a lifelong resident of Henry County and a beloved member of her community. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles “Chicken” Hollingsworth, and her brother, Herchel Chumbley.

Nancy was a faithful member of Sharon Baptist Church and an active supporter of the Ola PTA. She dedicated many years of service to the Henry County Board of Education before retiring, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues.

In her free time, Nancy found great joy in traveling the country with Charles, watching NASCAR, fishing, and tending to her garden. Her adventurous spirit, kindness, and love of family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son Wes (Cindy) Hollingsworth; grandchildren Jake (Marybeth) Hollingsworth, Erika (Eric) Rosser, and Hannah Hadaway; and great-grandchildren Grayson and EmmaKate Hollingsworth. She is also survived by her brother Wayne (Diane) Chumbley, along with several cherished nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Hollingsworth will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family beginning at 12:00 PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Nancy’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
