Raleigh B. Gilmore

Mr. Raleigh Bethea Gilmore, age 74, of McDonough, GA passed away September 5, 2015. Raleigh was born in Loris, SC the son of the late Lottie Cox Gilmore and Jesse Monroe Gilmore. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ben Gilmore and Harry Gilmore. Raleigh was retired from Delta Air Lines as a customer service agent with 25 plus years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf, traveling, and was known for his sense of humor. Survivors are his wife, Dawn Moser Gilmore of McDonough; children, Holly Lewis (Todd) of McDonough, Tanya Colgrove (Dale) of Seneca, SC, and Josh Gilmore (Candi) of McDonough; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister, Pearl Reaves of Kernesville, NC, Dalma Holt of Alpharetta, Edna Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mollie Jacobs of Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews. A visitation for Mr. Gilmore will be held at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The family will have a Memorial Service in Columbia, SC at Springdale Baptist Church, 357 Wattling Road, W Columbia, SC 29170 on Saturday, September 19, 2015 – 2:00 PM. A private inurnment will be held by the family at Celestial Memorial Gardens in in South Carolina.
