Mr. Robert Christopher "Chris" Barnes, age 60 of McDonough, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Chris was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Robert & Barbara Stancil Barnes. Mr. Barnes is survived by his loving wife of 43 years: Renee Quinn Barnes; son: Robert Joshua Barnes; daughter in law: Sylvia Barnes ; grandchildren: Henley Reese Barnes & Mason Reed Barnes; sister in law: Leslie Miller (Charles Davidson); great niece and nephew: Kaitlynn Swain & TJ Swain: additional family members: Melodie (Travis) Swain, Samantha (Brad) Strawn, Emma Strawn, BJ (Amanda) Jones and their three daughters, Cindy Crozier, Robin Crozier and children, Robert Crozier, Jr.; and lifelong best friend: Wayne Mitchell. He is predeceased by his sister: Rhonda Renae Barnes; mother in law: Harriette Roberts; and brother in law: Robert Crozier. Chris's world was his grandchildren, Henley & Mason. He loved them with everything he had. Chris enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing and relaxing at the beach. He was a proud Atlanta Braves fan and NASCAR enthusiast. Chris loved rock 'n roll and watching The Walking Dead. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 3:00 P.M.
