Robert Ewing Ethridge

Mr. Robert Ewing Ethridge “Bob”, age 63, of McDonough, GA passed away June 4, 2018. He was born in Atlanta, GA. Bob worked for Hill and Foss most of his working career as a field engineer where he traveled all of the back roads and small towns in the south. Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends, music, eating BBQ, drinking coffee with friends at Waffle House, country cooking and Mexican restaurants. He played the guitar, saxophone, and the hammer dulcimer and enjoyed watching live music at blue grass festivals.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ethridge; stepfather, Floyd E. Robertson Sr., and a brother, Ben Ethridge. Survivors are his son, Joshua Ethridge (Molly) of Atlantic Beach, FL; mother, Melba Robertson; brother, Barry Ethridige (Jeanie); granddaughter, Julia Ethridge Carrol (Jacob); step sisters, Debbie Page, Cheryl Waters; step brothers, Floyd Roberson Jr. Rosa); sister-in-law, Bonnie Ehtridge; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service for Bob will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Harvest Baptist Church in Covington, GA. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. Inurnment will be held on Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Harbins, GA.
